What this is, and isn't
Mission Prep is practice software for one narrow thing: the communication craft of missionary conversations. Here is the whole promise, written for the parent or leader deciding whether to trust it.
Nothing sacred is scored
The scorer and the coach evaluate communication craft: questions, listening, clarity, respect, invitations. If a missionary bears testimony during practice, the app treats it as off-limits. No score, no commentary, no AI-written testimony, ever.
Prayer is stage-noted, never recorded
When a practice scene reaches a prayer, the app steps aside with a simple note and waits. Prayers are never spoken by the AI, transcribed, stored, or scored.
We do not adjudicate doctrine
If a missionary teaches something incompletely, the app may note it neutrally and point to their official study materials and leaders. The coach never issues doctrinal corrections of its own.
A gracious no scores well
Respecting agency is one of the ten scored skills. When a practice contact gives a firm no, the highest-scoring move is a kind, warm goodbye. The app never rewards pushing past a refusal.
Every contact is clearly AI
Practice contacts are labeled AI roleplay on every screen. They are fictional people with respectful, reviewed backgrounds. No real names, no real faces, no caricatures of any faith.
Other faiths are honored
Practice contacts include Catholics, evangelicals, Hindus, and people of no religion, written the way real neighbors actually are. Personas never mock any belief, and the app scores missionaries up for honoring them.
Parents see progress, never conversations
For missionaries under 18, a parent or guardian is in the loop from signup. Parents see scores, streaks, and practice time. They never see or hear the conversations, and the missionary knows exactly what is visible.
Practice is the point
Mission Prep rehearses the craft of talking with people. It does not teach doctrine, replace preparation with leaders and teachers, or pretend any part of missionary work that matters most can come from software.
